Are You A Business? Did You Know…

It’s the little things that make a difference If you’re heading to Norwich on overnight business, you’ll obviously be searching for a venue which meets all your needs. Caistor Hall hotel goes out of its way to make sure its corporate guests receive the very best service (and the very best price – our corporate rates are very competitive – give us a ring for details) and we provide all the facilities you would expect for your business stay. But we feel it’s the extras we can offer that make us a little different. Our hotel is set in beautiful rolling countryside, yet just 4 miles from the heart of Norwich with very easy access from the A11, A140(A12), A47. There’s plentiful parking and even room to land a helicopter – so if it really is a flying visit, we’re the perfect spot. Once a Georgian Family Manor built in the late 1700s, Caistor Hall retains much of its graceful grandeur which affords a relaxed, unhurried ambience. And being an old house rather than a formulaic modern hotel is what enables us to offer our business guests some useful business ‘extras’.           In addition to Six […]

Guided Tour Of Caistor Roman Town

Did you know that on our very doorstep lies a Roman regional capital? It is one of only three in the country that does not lie beneath a modern settlement. You may have wandered over these fields, walked along the ridges, admired the wild flowers, little imagining that this was once a teeming Roman town. On Friday 3rd April, however, you are welcome to join us for a free guided walk, starting at 11am from Caistor Hall Hotel, with the opportunity to return after the walk for a discounted bar meal. This Roman Town, Venta Icenorum, was the capital of the territory of the Iceni and was probably established after the Boudican Revolt. Dr Will Bowden, who you may recognise from the popular Time Team programme, has been leading the research at this project and is offering you the chance to join him on a guided walk. The walk is free of charge and will take place on Friday 3rd April, at 11am, starting from Caistor Hall Hotel. The walk will […]
